Creative, Fun  Projects to Keep Kids Engaged During the Cozy Week between Christmas and New Years! - Little Dreamers Club
1. New Year’s Countdown Clock
Have kids create their own countdown clocks! They can decorate paper plates with numbers, glitter, and stickers, and add clock hands with a brad fastener. When midnight strikes, they’ll love “moving the hands” to celebrate.

2. Gratitude Jar
Set up a “Gratitude Jar” where kids can write things they’re thankful for from the past year. Decorate the jar together and place it somewhere special. Read the notes on New Year’s Eve as a reflection activity.

3. Winter Nature Walk & Art
Go on a winter scavenger hunt and collect nature items like pine cones, leaves, or rocks. Then, create a nature-inspired collage or use them to make snowmen, animals, or even ornaments!

4. DIY Snow Globe
Using small jars, kids can make their own snow globes! Fill with water, glitter, and a tiny toy or holiday figurine (secure it to the lid with glue). Screw the lid on tight, and let them shake up their winter wonderland.

5. Family Game Tournament
Host a game tournament with a mix of board games, card games, and even homemade games (like Charades or Pictionary). Make a leader board and have a little prize ready for the winner!

6. New Year’s Eve Party Prep
Let kids help make decorations for New Year’s Eve! From sparkly hats and confetti poppers to countdown chains, they’ll love making the night extra special.

7. Make a “Year in Review” Memory Book
Print out photos from the year and let kids put together a scrapbook or journal of their favorite moments. They can add stickers, captions, and drawings.

These activities are great for beating the post-holiday lull, keeping little ones entertained, and creating memories they’ll cherish long after the holiday season is over!
