White Chocolate Christmas Tree Treats - Little Dreamers Club

There’s something extra sweet about making homemade holiday treats with your family — especially when they’re as easy and delicious as these White Chocolate Dipped Bugles!

This quick recipe transforms classic Bugles into adorable, festive snacks that are perfect for cookie trays, classroom parties, or snuggling up for a movie night after crafting your Little Dreamers Club projects. The best part? They’re ready in minutes and require just a few simple ingredients!

🎁 Ingredients

  • 1 (7.5 ounce) bag Bugles Originals

  • 10 ounces White Melting Chocolate wafers or candy melts

  • 1 teaspoon vegetable or canola oil (optional)

  • Sprinkles

👩🍳 Instructions

1️⃣ Prepare Your Workspace

Line a baking tray with parchment paper, and set out your sprinkles and other decorating items.

2️⃣ Melt the Chocolate

Put your white chocolate or candy melts in a microwave-safe bowl or dish.
Microwave at 50% power for 45 seconds.

White chocolate has more sugar than milk chocolate, so the wafers will melt faster — you’ll want to use shorter times and pay close attention so as not to burn the sugar.

Remove the bowl from the microwave and stir thoroughly. Even if it doesn’t look like it’s melting yet, give it a good stir.

Return the dish to the microwave and heat at 50% power for 30-second intervals, stirring thoroughly after each, until mostly melted.

The chocolate will continue to melt from the bowl’s residual heat — so once it’s mostly smooth, remove and stir again. Let it sit briefly, then stir once more before dipping.

At this point, you can stir in 1–2 teaspoons of oil to help keep the chocolate a bit thinner and easier to work with — this step is optional, but helpful if you’re working slowly.

Use the melted chocolate as soon as possible so you can coat your Bugles before it sets.

3️⃣ Dip & Decorate

Place Bugles into the melted chocolate and use a fork to cover them completely. Lift each covered Bugle out, letting excess chocolate drip off. Gently tap the fork against the side of the bowl to remove extra coating.

Place Bugles on the parchment-lined tray and decorate with sprinkles before the chocolate sets. Continue until you’ve used all the chocolate.

Let them cool until firm, then remove from parchment and enjoy your festive sweet-and-salty Christmas treat!

🎨 Why We Love It

These easy treats are perfect for little hands to help with! Kids can dip, sprinkle, and decorate their Bugles while learning to follow simple instructions and express their creativity. It’s a great family activity for the holiday season — fun, delicious, and just a little messy (in the best way).
