How to Make Pom-Pom Ice Pops - Little Dreamers Club

30-minute activity | For All Ages | Creativity

Looking for a sweet summer craft that never melts? These Pom-Pom Ice Pops are the perfect pretend treat! Bright, colorful, and fun to make, this hands-on activity encourages creativity and is perfect for kids of all ages.

What You’ll Need:

  • Cardstock

  • Craft sticks

  • Pom-poms (in assorted colors)

  • Double-sided tape

  • Scissors

Instructions:

  1. Create the Ice Pop Shape
Start by helping your child cut a simple ice-pop shape out of cardstock. You can make it rounded at the top for a classic look or try fun shapes like hearts or stars!

  2. Add the Stick
Tape a craft stick to the bottom of the cardstock shape to create the handle of your “ice pop.”

  3. Get Sticky with It
Cover the front of the cardstock shape with double-sided tape.

  4. Decorate with Pom-Poms
Now the fun part—let your child press colorful pom-poms onto the sticky surface. Mix and match colors to make it look like a rainbow pop, a striped fruit bar, or even a sprinkle-covered treat!

Play & Display

Once finished, your child can use their pom-pom pops for pretend play or display them as summer-themed decorations.

Tip: Make a bunch and create your own “ice pop stand” for imaginative play!

This easy craft is a cool way to keep little hands busy and minds creative—no freezer required!
