There’s something magical about dropping a bath bomb into water and watching it fizz, swirl, and sparkle. But what’s even better? Making your own!
DIY bath bombs are a fun, hands-on activity that combines creativity, sensory play, and simple science — making them the perfect family project.
Whether you’re planning a weekend craft, a play date activity, or a homemade gift idea, this easy recipe will have your little dreamers creating something they’ll be excited to use!
🌈 Why Kids Love Making Bath Bombs
-
They get to mix, scoop, and mold
-
They choose colors and scents
-
They watch a fizzy science reaction
-
They create something they can actually use
Plus, it’s a sneaky way to introduce basic chemistry!
🧪 The Science Behind the Fizz
Bath bombs fizz because of a reaction between baking soda (a base) and citric acid (an acid). When they hit water, they react and release carbon dioxide bubbles — that’s the fizz!
