Santa Toilet paper Roll Craft

This Santa toilet paper roll craft is a delightful holiday project that makes a charming Christmas decoration. It’s simple, fun, and uses inexpensive materials, most of which you probably already have on hand. Kids will love creating their own little Santa, and it’s a great way to add a homemade touch to your festive decor.

Materials Needed:

  • Red construction paper

  • Peach construction paper

  • Black construction paper

  • Googly eyes

  • Craft (self adhesive work best) jewels

  • Red and white mini pom poms

  • Cardboard toilet roll tube

  • Glue or double-sided tape

  • Scissors

  • Cotton balls

Instructions:

  1. Wrap the Tube
Cut your red construction paper so it matches the height of your cardboard tube. Wrap the paper around the tube and secure it with tape or glue.

  2. Make the Belt
Cut a thin strip of black construction paper to create Santa’s belt. Attach the strip near the bottom of the tube and trim any extra paper.

  3. Add the Belt Buckle
Glue a small square craft jewel in the center of the belt to form Santa’s buckle.

  4. Create Santa’s Face
Cut a horseshoe-shaped piece from the peach construction paper. Attach it near the top of the tube with glue or double-sided tape.

  5. Build the Hat
Cut a red triangle for Santa’s hat. Apply glue or tape to the base of the triangle and stick it inside the top edge of the tube so the hat extends upward behind the face.
Snip a line into the triangle and roll it into a cone shape, then glue it closed to form Santa’s hat.

  6. Add the Beard and Hat Trim
Stretch out a cotton ball into a long strip. Apply glue or tape around Santa’s face and the base of his hat. Press the cotton in place to make his beard and fluffy hat trim.

  7. Give Santa His Eyes and Cheeks
Stick on googly eyes, then add rosy cheeks with a pink chalk pen or marker. You can also draw a tiny mouth if you’d like.

  8. Attach the Nose
Glue a small red pom pom in the center of Santa’s face to create his nose.

  9. Finish the Hat
Add a dab of glue to the tip of the hat and press on a white pom pom for the classic Santa hat topper.

Your adorable Santa toilet paper roll craft is ready to display!

Notes

Glue or double-sided tape both work, but tape holds faster.
